REVISION RHINOPLASTY

Revision rhinoplasty, in which tissue losses are repaired without spoiling the natural appearance, varies according to the nose structure and the region where the revision procedure will take place. Revision rhinoplasty, which usually takes 1-4 hours, is performed in two ways. First, if there is a slight protrusion on the nasal dorsum or minor changes in the tip of the nose, the operation is completed with simple procedures. Secondly, if more extensive changes are to be made in the nose, tissues such as rib bone and cartilage can be used when necessary.

What Should Be Considered After Revision Rhinoplasty?

For revision rhinoplasty, it is necessary not to rush and wait about 6 months to 1 year. It is very important for your health to wait for the period determined by your doctor so that the tissues can work comfortably. Revision rhinoplasty is an operation that takes longer than the first nose surgery. It is normal to experience temporary bruising and swelling after surgery. These bruises and swellings will go away in 3-4 days. After revision rhinoplasty, you should protect your nose from bumps and blows and sleep with your head up. You should avoid heavy sports and exercises and take care not to move your mimics excessively.
